Job description

• Construct and erect formwork systems (shuttering) for concrete structures, ensuring precise alignment and dimensional accuracy, using detailed blueprints and technical drawings. • Assemble and dismantle shuttering components, including timber, plywood, steel, and proprietary systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency. • Precisely measure, cut, shape, and fasten wooden or metal materials using hand and power tools, demonstrating expertise in various cutting and joining techniques. • Install and secure formwork to support the weight of wet concrete, employing techniques to prevent leaks and ensure structural integrity. • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a basic understanding of mathematics and construction principles. • Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or shuttering, providing foundational knowledge of construction techniques. • Possession of a valid trade certificate or license for shuttering carpentry, showcasing formal recognition of skills and expertise. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shuttering carpentry, demonstrating practical application of skills in various construction projects.
