Shift Supervisor - Power Generation

**Opportunity for Shift SupervisorOperations Department \| All Areas** Reports To Operations Foreman Department Operations Working Hours Shift work Travel Requirement Less than 10% annually **MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:** To oversee and manage the operating staff during their designated shift in the assigned plant facilities. The position focuses on ensuring safe and efficient daily operations, meeting operational targets, and coordinating with Maintenance and Engineering teams to maintain the site's safety and reliability. **QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE** **Formal Qualifications / Education:** * Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical, chemical, or industrial) or a related technical field (essential) * Equivalent industry experience may be considered for candidates without formal higher education (essential) * Relevant certifications preferred: OSHA or NEBOSH; First Aid and Emergency Response Training; Gas Plant Operations * Certification; Process Safety Management (PSM); coursework in gasification technologies, power plant operations, or process engineering is highly desirable **Work Experience:** * 5–7 years of process plant operations experience, especially in gasification, energy production, or chemical industries (essential) \& 2–3 years of supervisory experience (essential) * Experience across two or more operating units in a gas production division (essential) * Gasification: Experience in hydrogen recovery units, pressure swing adsorption, Rectisol adsorption process, sulfur recovery units, ethane cracker, HOFCC, Auto Thermal Reforming, or refinery processes (preferred) * Power Block: Experience in water treatment systems, power generation, and electrical distribution networks (preferred) * Utilities \& ASU: Experience with water treatment systems, oxygen, cooling systems, and electrical distribution networks (preferred) * Piperack \& CC: Experience in hydrogen recovery units, pressure swing adsorption, Rectisol adsorption process, sulfur recovery units, ethane cracker, HOFCC, Auto Thermal Reforming, or refinery processes (preferred) **Job\-Related Knowledge and Skills:** * Advanced technical knowledge of gasification operations activities, tasks, and responsibilities * Proficient knowledge of coordination between operations and maintenance activities \&knowledge of local environmental, health, and safety requirements * Ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi\-disciplinary team * Leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring * Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills \& Strong written and verbal communication skills **RESPONSIBILITIES \& WORK CONTEXT** **Area Details** * Staff Responsibility 11–20 direct reports * Time Span of Impact Short term: 3–6 months * Posture Standing 40–50%, walking 30–40%, sitting 10–20% (control room and field) * Accountable For Equipment, work outputs, worker standards, work methods, safety, and safety management **INTERESTED?** 1\.
