Senior Waiter

JOB SUMMARY Assists the Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Supervisor in the daily operation of the assigned Food \& Beverage outlet, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, guest satisfaction, and effective coordination of the team. In the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor, takes responsibility for the overall operation of the outlet. KEY DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist the Restaurant Manager and Supervisor in managing the day\-to\-day operations of the assigned outlet. * Take charge of the outlet in the absence of the Restaurant Manager and/or Restaurant Supervisor, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. * Ensure compliance with established service standards, company policies, procedures, and Food \& Beverage guidelines. * Welcome and interact professionally with guests, ensuring a warm, courteous, and personalized dining experience. * Handle guest comments, requests, and complaints professionally and coordinate with the relevant team members to ensure timely resolution. * Maintain positive and effective working relationships with guests and colleagues to promote a professional and supportive work environment. * Ensure that guests are informed about restaurant activities, promotions, special events, and other hotel offerings. * Lead by example in maintaining high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, cleanliness, and professional conduct. * Assist with staff orientation, on\-the\-job training, coaching, and development in coordination with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisor. * Monitor service quality and staff performance to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery. * Support the team in maximizing outlet revenue through excellent guest service, suggestive selling, upselling, and effective promotion of menu items. * Assist in promoting and implementing restaurant promotions, special events, festive programs, and hotel\-wide activities to increase guest engagement and revenue. * Monitor and control wastage, breakage, spoilage, and unnecessary consumption of Food \& Beverage supplies. * Ensure that operating equipment, utensils, furniture, and other restaurant assets are handled carefully, maintained properly, and stored correctly. * Participate actively in daily briefings, departmental meetings, training sessions, and operational discussions. * Coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations. * Ensure the outlet is properly prepared before service and maintained to the required cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the operation. * Monitor staff attendance, grooming, work allocation, and service performance as assigned. * Ensure proper handover of operational information, guest feedback, pending issues, and important follow\-up items between shifts. * Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Food \& Beverage Management.
