**Job Title:** Senior Video Editor **Department:** Post\-Production / Creative **Location:** Kingdom of Bahrain **Reports To:** Creative Director **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and creative **Senior Video Editor** to lead and execute high\-quality video editing and post\-production for a wide range of projects. The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling and professionally polished content while maintaining the project's creative vision, storytelling, brand standards, and technical requirements. The role requires strong creative judgment, advanced editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. The Senior Video Editor will also provide creative guidance and support to junior editors and other members of the post\-production team. Key Responsibilities **Editing \& Post\-Production** * Lead the editing of commercials, corporate films, documentaries, social media content, promotional videos, events, and other creative productions. * Review and organize raw footage and select the strongest shots based on the project's creative direction. * Develop strong narratives, pacing, structure, and visual storytelling through editing. * Perform advanced editing, transitions, sequencing, and timing. * Edit and synchronize dialogue, voiceovers, music, sound effects, and other audio elements. * Perform professional color correction and basic\-to\-advanced color grading as required. * Create and integrate titles, subtitles, graphics, and visual effects when required. * Prepare content in multiple formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for different platforms. * Ensure all final exports meet technical, quality, and delivery specifications. * Manage revisions professionally and efficiently based on client and management feedback. **Creative Responsibilities** * Work closely with Directors, Producers, DOPs, Creative Directors, and other team members to understand the creative vision of each project. * Contribute creative ideas to improve storytelling, visual flow, pacing, and overall production quality. * Review footage and identify opportunities to enhance the final product. * Participate in post\-production planning and provide professional recommendations regarding editing approaches. * Maintain consistency with the company's creative and visual standards. * Stay up to date with current editing techniques, visual trends, and digital content formats. **Project \& Workflow Management** * Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines. * Plan editing schedules according to project priorities and delivery requirements. * Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, graphics, audio, and final exports. * Ensure proper media backup and file management throughout the post\-production process. * Coordinate with the production team to obtain missing footage, assets, information, or clarification when required. * Identify potential technical or creative issues early and recommend solutions. **Team Leadership \& Quality Control** * Review and provide feedback on work completed by junior and mid\-level editors. * Support and mentor junior editors in editing techniques, workflow, and best practices. * Establish and maintain professional post\-production standards. * Conduct quality control checks before final delivery. * Ensure that final content is technically accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with the approved brief. * Assist management in improving post\-production workflows and processes. Requirements * Proven experience as a **Senior Video Editor** or in a similar senior post\-production role. * Strong professional portfolio demonstrating high\-quality editing and storytelling. * Advanced proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro**. * Strong knowledge of professional post\-production workflows. * Advanced understanding of editing, pacing, storytelling, sound, color, and visual composition. * Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, resolutions, frame rates, and delivery specifications. * Experience working with commercial, corporate, advertising, film, documentary, or social media content. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. * Strong creative judgment and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. * Experience mentoring or supervising other editors is preferred. * Knowledge of **After Effects, Photoshop, or other motion graphics/design software** is an advantage. Working Environment The position is primarily focused on **post\-production and editing**, with occasional involvement in filming, production meetings, location visits, or client sessions when required.
