Senior Systems Engineer

**Job Summary:** The Senior System Engineer is a critical leadership role requiring a subject matter expert with over 10 years of experience in architecting and optimizing enterprise\-grade systems. The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority, ensuring the high availability, performance, and scalability of the organization’s foundational IT infrastructure while mentoring junior staff in complex troubleshooting and architectural design. This position demands a deep specialization in modern cloud ecosystems and automated deployment methodologies, strictly requiring 7\+ years of hands\-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and DevOps practices. The role is designed for a visionary engineer capable of bridging the gap between traditional infrastructure silos and high\-velocity, cloud\-native environments. This involves a fundamental shift toward Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and the architectural management of modern data platforms, including MS SQL, Kafka, and MongoDB, to support a data\-driven enterprise strategy. **Qualifications (e.g., Education)** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree highly preferred). **Work Experience (e.g., Number of years and field / role)** * A minimum of **10\+ years** of total IT infrastructure and system engineering experience. * At least **7\+ years** of dedicated, hands\-on experience in Cloud (Azure) and DevOps environments. **Technical Proficiency:** * **Operating Systems:** Expert\-level mastery of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS). * **Virtualization:** Deep technical knowledge of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper\-V. * **Cloud Architecture:** Extensive experience in Azure networking, Identity (Entra ID), and governance. * **Security \& Hardening:** Proven track record in NIST/ISO 27001 compliance, patch management, and endpoint protection. **Certificates \& Trainings Any relevant certification or training such as:** * **Microsoft:** **AZ\-305** (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and **AZ\-400** (Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions). * **Infrastructure:** VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). * **Process \& Orchestration:** ITIL v4 Foundation and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). **Skills** * **Architectural Problem\-Solving:** Ability to deconstruct complex technical challenges and design scalable, long\-term solutions. * **Strategic Communication:** Excellent verbal and written skills for high\-level technical documentation and cross\-departmental stakeholder management. * **Leadership \& Teamwork:** Ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor team members in a fast\-paced environment. * **Project Governance:** Proven experience in managing full\-lifecycle IT migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
