Senior Resident Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead site supervision and construction delivery oversight for a large-scale building project in Dubai, UAE. This client-facing leadership role requires strong technical expertise in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with proven experience supervising complex construction works, coordinating multidisciplinary site teams, and ensuring that project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, safety expectations, and project objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing supervision and construction activities for similar-sized buildings, preferably within data center , mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial developments. The role also requires a strong awareness of construction contracts, contract administration, claims, variations, and contractual obligations. You will play a key role in representing the client s interests on site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure construction works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the project s technical, commercial, schedule, and quality requirements. • 20+ years of experience in resident engineering, construction supervision, project management, site engineering, or construction management for large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field. • Senior-level engineering background in Civil or Electrical & Mechanical disciplines. • Proven experience supervising and managing the construction of similar-sized buildings or complex large-scale developments. • Prior experience working on data center , mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial building projects is highly desirable. • Strong technical understanding of multidisciplinary construction activities, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and building services works. • Demonstrated experience leading site supervision teams and coordinating contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives. • Strong awareness of construction contract law, contract administration, claims, variations, notices, change management, and contractual obligations. • Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, schedules, and technical documentation. • Experience in monitoring contractor performance, site progress, quality compliance, safety practices, and construction deliverables. • Strong understanding of quality assurance, site inspection processes, NCR management, testing, commissioning, handover, and closeout requirements. • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical, contractual, and site coordination issues in a timely manner. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, client-facing project environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. • Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent professional registration. • Professional certifications, such as PMP, RICS, CIOB, FIDIC, or other relevant credentials in construction/project management. • Experience working on hyperscale data centers or other large-scale, mission-critical facilities. • Experience working in a PMC, owner's representative, consultant, or client-side supervision role. • Previous experience working in Dubai, the UAE, or the wider GCC region. • Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, permitting processes, inspections, and local construction regulations. • Knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts and international construction contract administration practices. • Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Aconex, Procore, Oracle Primavera Cloud, or other project management and document control platforms.
