**Senior Planning Engineer** **Location:** Qatar (Locally Available Candidates Only) **Project Duration:** 18 Months **Employment Type:** Contract **Experience Required:** 15\+ Years **Mandatory Certification:** UPDA Grade A **Industry:** Construction / Design \& Build (D\&B) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced **Senior Planning Engineer** to join a major construction project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, resource planning, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Preference will be given to candidates with significant Design \& Build (D\&B) experience in educational facilities. Mandatory Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. * **Minimum 15 years of overall construction planning experience.** * **Minimum 7 years of Design \& Build (D\&B) experience in School, College, or University projects.** * **UPDA Grade A certification is mandatory.** * Currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID. * Strong experience in large\-scale building construction projects. * Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain master project schedules using Primavera P6\. * Prepare baseline programs, recovery programs, and look\-ahead schedules. * Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks and delays. * Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions. * Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations. * Analyze productivity, resource allocation, and project performance metrics. * Review contractors' schedules and validate progress claims. * Support extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required. * Ensure project milestones are achieved in accordance with contract requirements. * Participate in project meetings and provide planning\-related recommendations. * Coordinate design and construction activities within a Design \& Build environment. Preferred Qualifications * PMP certification. * Advanced Primavera P6 certification. * Previous experience on educational facilities projects. * Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and scheduling methodologies. * GCC/Qatar project experience.
