We’re Hiring \| Senior Oracle DBA – Banking / Digital Banking Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time Experience: 8\+ Years Industry: Banking / Financial Services Joining: Immediate Joiner / Short Notice Preferred Work Type: On\-Site About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to support a mission\-critical Retail Digital Banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands\-on experience in Oracle database administration, performance optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, database security, and automation. Experience working with banking/BFSI environments and high\-transaction production databases is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities * Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c/21c environments. * Ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and optimal performance of mission\-critical databases. * Perform database performance monitoring and tuning using AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and OEM. * Conduct advanced SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and resolve database bottlenecks. * Design and manage RMAN backup/recovery and Oracle Data Guard solutions. * Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, and clustering environments. * Implement solutions supporting High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and minimal/zero data loss requirements. * Manage database security, access controls, privileges, roles, encryption, and compliance requirements. * Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance with minimal business disruption. * Automate routine DBA activities using Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and OEM. * Provide proactive database monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization. * Support high\-volume, mission\-critical banking applications and resolve production database issues. * Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and project teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. * Participate in production deployments, change requests, incident management, and problem resolution. * Provide 24x7 production support for critical database environments. * Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, database standards, operational procedures, and compliance reports. * Stay updated with Oracle technologies including OCI, Exadata, and hybrid cloud environments. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. * 8\+ years of hands\-on Oracle DBA experience. * Oracle certifications will be an advantage. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and incident\-management skills.
