Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)** to manage and support mission\-critical Oracle database environments within a **Retail Digital Banking** setup. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, high availability, backup and recovery, security, disaster recovery, upgrades, and 24x7 production support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience with Oracle databases, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning, and database automation, preferably within the banking or financial services sector. **Key Responsibilities** * Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments. * Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and OEM. * Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL tuning. * Design and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard. * Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and clustering environments. * Ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity for critical banking databases. * Implement database security, access controls, and compliance requirements. * Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities. * Automate DBA activities using Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and Oracle Enterprise Manager. * Provide database support for high\-volume and mission\-critical banking applications. * Troubleshoot and resolve production database incidents. * Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and development teams. * Maintain database documentation, SOPs, compliance reports, and operational procedures. * Perform capacity planning and proactive database health monitoring. * Provide 24x7 support for critical production databases. * Evaluate and recommend Oracle technologies such as OCI, Exadata, and hybrid cloud solutions. **Required Expertise** * Oracle Database Administration * Oracle RAC \& ASM * Oracle Data Guard * RMAN Backup \& Recovery * Database Performance Tuning * High Availability \& Disaster Recovery * Database Security \& Compliance * Production Support in Banking/BFSI environments **Technical Skills** * Oracle Database 11g / 12c / 19c / 21c * Oracle RAC and ASM * RMAN * Oracle Data Guard * Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) * AWR / ADDM / SQL Tuning Advisor * Advanced SQL \& PL/SQL * Shell Scripting * Database Patching, Upgrades \& Migrations * OCI / Exadata / Hybrid Cloud — Advantage **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. * 8\+ years of hands\-on Oracle DBA experience. * Banking, Digital Banking, BFSI, or other mission\-critical enterprise experience is preferred. * Oracle certifications will be an advantage. **Work Type:** On\-Site, Muscat, Oman **Preferred:** Immediate Joiner / Short Notice Candidate Pay: From RO1,300\.000 per month Work Location: In person
