Senior Geotechnical Engineering Director **Company:** Ava Ingenieria Middle East **Location:** C\-Ring Road, Mirqab Complex, Doha, Qatar **Annual Compensation:** QAR 530,000 / year Profile Summary Ava Ingenieria Middle East is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineering Director to lead our subsurface engineering division in Doha. Based out of our C\-Ring Road office, this executive role takes full technical responsibility for complex ground engineering, deep foundation designs, marine soil mechanics, and excavation risk management across major Qatari infrastructure projects. Essential Qualifications \& Prerequisites * **Experience:** At least 12 years of progressive engineering leadership focused on geotechnical design, deep foundations, and heavy infrastructure developments. * **Credentials:** Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Active MMUP / UPDA Grade A registration in Qatar is mandatory. * **Technical Mastery:** Advanced command of geotechnical software suites including PLAXIS 2D/3D, GeoStudio, and Wallap. * **Local Expertise:** Proven familiarity with Qatari geological conditions, Ashghal design standards, and local municipal approval frameworks. * **Visa Eligibility:** Must hold full eligibility for local Qatari employment visa transfer or new sponsorship. Primary Responsibilities * Lead the design and evaluation of complex shoring systems, deep foundations, dynamic pile testing, and soil\-structure interaction models. * Direct field investigation programs, specialized lab testing, and hydrogeological assessments to support high\-load structural projects. * Serve as the principal technical liaison with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and municipal bodies to secure prompt design clearances. * Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks related to deep basement excavations, tunneling, and high\-groundwater site conditions. * Oversee senior engineers and specialized sub\-contractors while providing technical authority for value engineering and tender bids.
