Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer – NOC IP & DWDM to join our Network Operations Center (NOC). The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IP/MPLS and DWDM transport networks to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
This role requires strong technical expertise in carrier-grade IP and optical transport networks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a 24×7 operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor IP/MPLS, DWDM, and optical transport networks using Network Management Systems (NMS).
• Perform proactive fault detection, alarm monitoring, and incident management.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues and restore services within defined SLAs.
• Diagnose and resolve DWDM, OTN, ROADM, transponder, amplifier, and fiber-related issues.
• Support routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS technologies.
• Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and internal teams for fault isolation and resolution.
• Execute planned maintenance, software upgrades, and network changes following approved MOPs.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and recommend preventive actions.
• Monitor network performance and identify capacity or optimization opportunities.
• Maintain operational documentation, network records, and incident reports.
• Participate in a 24×7 shift rotation, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in IP/MPLS and DWDM Network Operations.
• Experience working in Telecom Operators, Internet Service Providers (ISP), Managed Service Providers, or Data Center environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage critical network incidents.
