SENIOR DIESEL MECHANIC - MARINE

**Responsibilities:** * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain **marine diesel engines and marine generator sets**. * Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance. * Perform complete and partial engine overhauls. * Repair cylinder heads, pistons, liners, bearings, fuel systems, injectors and turbochargers. * Diagnose overheating, low oil pressure, excessive smoke, vibration, starting and performance issues. * Service cooling, lubrication, fuel, air intake and exhaust systems. * Conduct engine and generator testing after repairs. * Attend onboard vessel breakdowns and emergency repairs. * Identify required spare parts and prepare service reports. * Supervise and guide junior mechanics. **Requirements:** * Minimum 3 years' hands\-on experience with **marine diesel engines and marine generators**. * Strong troubleshooting and engine overhaul experience. * Marine, shipyard or offshore experience preferred. * Experience with Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, Volvo Penta, MAN, MTU, Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Deutz or similar preferred. * Technical diploma / trade qualification preferred. * Able to work independently onboard vessels and in workshop environments.
