What You ll Be Doing: Perform design reviews for railway operational telecommunications systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with internal and external technical disciplines to ensure successful integration of telecommunications systems within the overall project design. Coordinate assigned activities with contractors, utility providers, government authorities, and other stakeholders. Investigate field issues affecting property owners, contractors, and maintenance operations resulting from telecommunications and utility relocation activities. Review and approve telecommunications network relocation plans submitted by Design-Build contractors. Review and approve telecommunications design deliverables, including specifications, reports, schedules, drawings, and technical schematics. Review and verify detailed equipment and material requisitions proposed by contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements. Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, progress meetings, and design review workshops. Support the resolution of technical issues related to operational telecommunications systems and interfaces. Monitor design progress and provide recommendations to ensure successful project delivery. • Degree, Diploma, or professional qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in telecommunications engineering and design. • Strong experience in the design of SCADA systems that interface with railway operations. • Extensive knowledge of telecommunications systems, including telephony, transmission systems, FTN/GSM-R, and copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure. • Strong experience with Operational Telecommunications Systems and Station Information and Surveillance Systems. • Experience designing IP-based networks supporting MPLS and VoIP technologies. • Strong technical review, coordination, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. What Desired Skills You ll Bring: • IRSE Telecoms Design License or progress toward obtaining the certification. • Experience using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and other telecommunications design software. • Knowledge of international and local telecommunications codes and standards. • Previous experience on rail, metro, or transportation infrastructure projects. • Experience working within multidisciplinary and multinational project environments. • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teams located across multiple offices and regions. • Strong interpersonal, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
