Senior Consultant - Geophysicist - SRC Seismic Reservoir Characterization

**Key Responsibilities** * Develop and calibrate rock physics models linking elastic properties to reservoir properties such as porosity, permeability, fluid saturation, and lithology. * Execute well\-to\-seismic tie workflows, including synthetic seismogram generation, wavelet extraction, phase analysis, and time\-depth optimization. * Build and QC rock physics templates and crossplot frameworks calibrated against core, log, and production data. * Apply Gassmann fluid substitution modeling to support pre\-drill prediction and post\-drill reservoir evaluation. * Conduct log normalization, environmental correction, and depth\-to\-time conversion QC for seismic inversion and AVO analysis. * Design and execute full\-stack and angle\-stack seismic inversion workflows, including model\-based, sparse\-spike, simultaneous, stochastic, and geostatistical inversion. * Deliver seismic\-derived reservoir property volumes, including porosity, net\-to\-gross, fluid saturation, and lithofacies probability. * Conduct Quantitative Interpretation studies integrating inversion, well data, and dynamic simulation to identify reservoir sweet spots and de\-risk infill drilling targets. * Lead AVO/AVAz and DHI studies for fluid and lithology discrimination and fracture characterization. * Conduct seismic attribute analysis, spectral decomposition, and seismic facies classification using advanced and AI/ML\-assisted methods. * Lead 4D seismic feasibility, processing, and interpretation studies to monitor reservoir changes, fluid movement, drainage efficiency, and bypassed hydrocarbons. * Integrate 4D seismic with dynamic reservoir simulation to support history matching and recovery\-factor forecasting. * Provide geophysical input to EOR programs, including waterflood, gas injection, and thermal EOR surveillance. * Lead or co\-lead integrated reservoir characterization studies combining seismic QI, petrophysics, geological modeling, and dynamic simulation. * Collaborate with Reservoir Engineers and Petrophysicists on Petrel/Eclipse workflows and integrated subsurface models. * Support appraisal well planning with seismic\-derived reservoir characterization inputs. * Deliver uncertainty quantification using scenario\-based, Monte Carlo, or geostatistical methods. * Champion AI/ML\-assisted reservoir characterization workflows, cloud\-based subsurface platforms, and HPC\-enabled solutions. * Prepare technical reports, reservoir characterization atlases, and inversion deliverables. * Deliver knowledge\-transfer programs and represent KOC at relevant industry conferences and collaborative research initiatives. **Minimum Requirements** * PhD degree in **Geoscience**, or at least **25\+ years of professional upstream experience** in E\&P research and development activities. * Strong credentials in developing, scoping, and managing projects. * Proven ability to conceptualize and plan exploration\-related projects, including scope, staffing, required capabilities, and equipment. * Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams including geophysicists, geochemists, geologists, and reservoir engineers. * Proven success in recruiting and leading high\-caliber technical staff. * International experience working with major E\&P companies and research institutes. * Strong teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, problem\-solving, communication, organization, flexibility, creativity, and multitasking capabilities. * Middle East experience is considered an advantage. * Multiple academic publications in recognized trade journals. **Technical Key Competencies** * Analytical * Communicative * Achievement\-oriented * Methodical * Conceptual * Resilient * Fluent language capability * Creative * Innovation Work Location: In person
