Senior Consultant - Geophysicist - Seismic Data Processing

**Key Responsibilities** * Define and approve complete seismic data processing sequences for 2D and 3D surveys, including land, marine, and transition zone datasets. * Specify and quality\-control critical processing steps, including geometry QC, noise pre\-conditioning, amplitude and statics corrections, deconvolution, multiple attenuation, velocity model building, and migration. * Lead advanced depth\-domain processing workflows, including **PSDM, RTM, and FWI**, to improve imaging beneath complex overburden. * Evaluate, select, and manage seismic processing contractors through technical scoring, benchmarking studies, and tender evaluations. * Oversee seismic reprocessing projects targeting deeper exploration plays, including Triassic and Paleozoic intervals. * Conduct rigorous quality control at all seismic processing stages and review contractor processing reports, velocity models, conditioned gathers, and final migration volumes. * Apply signal\-analysis techniques, including amplitude spectra, frequency\-wavenumber analysis, and phase analysis, to validate data integrity and identify processing artefacts. * Ensure processed deliverables comply with **SEG\-Y Rev 2 standards**, KOC data management protocols, and corporate subsurface data\-quality requirements. * Collaborate with G\&G interpretation teams to translate seismic processing outputs into structural and stratigraphic models. * Support seismic attribute extraction, AVO/AVAz analysis, inversion workflows, integrated subsurface studies, well\-tie analysis, and seismic\-to\-well calibration. * Support adoption of **AI/ML\-assisted seismic processing tools**, including automated noise suppression, ML\-driven velocity picking, and AI\-enhanced FWI. * Evaluate HPC and cloud\-based seismic processing platforms for scalability and cost efficiency. * Prepare technical reports, processing updates, milestone reviews, QC logs, velocity models, and final deliverable documentation. * Conduct technical training and knowledge\-sharing workshops for national geophysicists. * Represent KOC at relevant industry forums and contribute to technical publications where appropriate. **Minimum Requirements** * PhD degree in **Geoscience or Engineering**. * Minimum **20\+ years of professional upstream experience in E\&P research and development activities**. * Strong credentials in developing, scoping, and managing programs. * Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and manage programs, including scope, staffing requirements, required capabilities, and equipment. * Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams composed of geochemists, geologists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, and process engineers. * Proven success in recruiting high\-caliber technical staff. * International experience working with major E\&P companies and research institutes. * Strong teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, problem\-solving, communication, organization, flexibility, creativity, and multitasking skills. **Education \& Experience** * **25\+ years of demonstrable international upstream experience** with large and small international E\&P companies and ideally research institutes. * Middle East experience is considered an advantage. **Technical Key Competencies** * Analytical * Communicative * Achievement\-oriented * Methodical * Conceptual * Resilient * Fluent language capability * Creative * Innovation * Multiple academic publications in recognized trade journals Work Location: In person
