Senior Civil Engineer – Structural \& Architectural **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-time, Permanent Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and technically strong **Senior Civil Engineer – Structural \& Architectural** to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have **8–10\+ years of relevant experience** with strong expertise in **structural engineering, architectural coordination, and hands\-on site/construction activities**. The candidate must be capable of managing technical matters from design and coordination through to construction and project completion. Experience in **high\-end residential villas, residential/commercial buildings, and/or high\-rise projects** is highly preferred. This is a **hands\-on, technical, and site\-based role** requiring close coordination with consultants, contractors, architects, MEP teams, clients, and project management. Key Responsibilities * Lead and coordinate structural and architectural engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Review and coordinate structural and architectural drawings, details, specifications, and technical documents. * Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, Qatar regulations, and relevant international standards. * Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction activities, workmanship, quality, and progress. * Identify and resolve structural, architectural, and construction\-related technical issues on site. * Coordinate effectively with architects, structural consultants, MEP engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams. * Review and provide technical comments on **shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions**. * Review structural elements including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, reinforced concrete, and steel structures. * Review architectural works including layouts, elevations, sections, finishes, doors/windows, waterproofing, and construction details. * Ensure proper coordination between structural and architectural elements and identify potential clashes or constructability issues. * Provide technical guidance and design clarifications to site teams and contractors. * Participate in technical, coordination, progress, and site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors. * Prepare inspection reports, technical reports, progress updates, and other project documentation as required. * Support project management in maintaining construction quality, schedule, and compliance. * Assist in resolving client and consultant comments and ensure timely closure of technical issues. * Work independently and take ownership of assigned engineering and site responsibilities. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline**. * **Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience; 10\+ years preferred.** * Proven professional experience in **both structural engineering and architectural/technical coordination**. * **Strong hands\-on site and construction experience is essential.** * Experience with **residential villas, high\-end residential, commercial, and/or high\-rise projects**. * Strong knowledge of structural systems, construction methods, architectural detailing, building materials, and construction practices. * Ability to read, interpret, review, and coordinate **structural and architectural drawings**. * Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical documentation. * Strong understanding of construction quality control, inspections, and site coordination. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD**; Revit knowledge is preferred. * Knowledge of relevant **structural analysis/design software** is an advantage. * Good knowledge of applicable **Qatar construction regulations and international engineering codes and standards**. * Excellent communication, coordination, problem\-solving, and decision\-making skills. * Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams. * **Valid Qatar ID is required.** * **UPDA/MMUP certification is mandatory; Grade A is highly preferred.** * **Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.** * **Fluency in English and Arabic is required.** Application Question(s): * Are you fluent in both Arabic and English?
