Senior Car Mechanic ( Toyota )

Job Purpose: • To diagnose, repair, and maintain Toyota and other vehicles using diagnostic equipment. • To works in an automotive service garage, servicing and maintaining air-conditioning components and systems in Toyota and other vehicles. • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul cooling units, and perform tests and inspections to ensure the vehicle's cooling system is operating correctly. Primary duties and responsibilities: • The ideal candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of Toyota automobiles and their electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and air conditioning systems. • They should have experience in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles, and could diagnose and repair any mechanical problem a Toyota vehicle may have. • They should have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate directly with customers to provide clear explanations of repairs needed on the vehicle. • Diagnose and repair automotive problems with accuracy and efficiency. • Inspect vehicles for necessary repairs and preventive maintenance. • Test drive vehicles and diagnose problems to detect necessary mechanical or electrical repairs. • Repair or replace worn or defective parts, such as brake and hydraulic systems, suspensions, alignment, and steering systems. • Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. • Repair and maintain automotive emission systems. • Use diagnostic tools, observe, measure, test, troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle malfunctions. • Discuss auto repair problems and solutions with customers. • Document repair status and record diagnostic test results on work orders. • Keep up to date with all manufacturer recalls and service bulletins. • Perform routine maintenance on Toyota Automotive chillers, including troubleshooting and repair of systems. • Follow installation instructions to ensure proper operation of the Toyota Automotive chiller. • Diagnose and repair the chiller system, identifying and replacing faulty parts, and ensuring effective operation. • Conduct inspections and tests to check and ensure proper operations of the system. • Manage the inventory of the spare parts and ensure proper maintenance and reordering cycle. • Train clients and employees on the installation and usage of the Toyota Automotive chiller. • Keep records and perform documentation of repair orders, inventory and completed service calls. • Provide technical assistance and advice to customers regarding Toyota Automotive chillers. • Develop and maintain service standards and ensure that all repair and preventive maintenance activities are conducted to the required standard. • Ensure proper safety protocols are followed in the workplace. • Perform other duties as and when needed.
