Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company’s day\-to\-day accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in UAE accounting, VAT, Tally, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and audit coordination, with experience in the construction or contracting industry. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and other financial reports. * Manage the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations. * Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). * Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. * Prepare monthly salary/payroll calculations, including employee salaries, overtime, allowances, leave salary, and other payroll\-related payments. * Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time and maintain proper payroll records and supporting documentation. * Prepare and manage UAE VAT filings and maintain proper VAT records and documentation. * Assist with corporate tax\-related requirements, filings, records, and documentation. * Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial information and supporting documents. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, VAT requirements, corporate tax requirements, statutory regulations, and applicable UAE laws. * Monitor financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures. * Supervise and guide junior accounting staff and provide support when required. * Coordinate with management, suppliers, site teams, and internal departments regarding accounting, invoicing, payments, payroll, and other financial matters. * Coordinate closely with site teams to ensure timely submission of invoices, expenses, supporting documents, and other financial information. * Assist management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial information as required. * Maintain accurate and organized accounting, payroll, VAT, corporate tax, and financial records. * Perform other accounting and finance\-related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications \& Experience * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. * Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting/finance experience in the construction or contracting industry is required. * UAE work experience is preferred. * Practical experience in payroll/salary preparation. * Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, VAT, corporate tax, taxation, statutory compliance, payroll, and internal controls. * Hands\-on experience with Tally accounting software. * Good understanding of AP, AR, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, and Financial Reporting. * Experience in coordinating with internal and external auditors and handling audit requirements. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong coordination skills with management, suppliers, site teams, auditors, employees, and internal departments. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Ability to manage multiple accounting activities efficiently and accurately. Preferred Candidate Candidates with practical experience in the UAE construction or contracting industry and hands\-on knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, Tally, payroll/salary preparation, financial reporting, AP/AR, audit coordination, and site accounting coordination will be preferred. What We Are Looking For We are seeking a responsible, proactive, and well\-organized accounting professional with good communication and coordination skills who can independently manage accounting and payroll activities, coordinate effectively with site teams, maintain accurate financial records, ensure regulatory compliance, and support management with reliable financial information.
