Job description
Follows all policies and procedures set in the Atlantis Dubai Dive Operations Manual.
Maintains exhibits, lagoons, and pools both above, and below the surface of the water.
Maintains Scuba equipment in good working order.
Conducts dive training for colleagues when required.
Logs and reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
Maintains dive logs and records of own dives, and those of guests/ colleagues having received any dive instruction.
Perform the duties of a surface dive tender for other in water divers, and acts as a first responder in case of an emergency.
Perform auxiliary dive activities outside of normal maintenance and guest programs; including, but not limited to sign holdings, underwater feedings, gating procedures.
Delivers educational and informative safety briefings, relaying conservation messaging and product knowledge of the resort.
Provides articulate and clear instructions to guests, which are fun, safe, engaging and positive; whereby Quality Assurance surveys and standards are met consistently.
Ensures a complete understanding and adheres to policies of all division / department policies.
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for both people and animals.
Keeps current in regular training for self and for guests, as it pertains to first aid, rescue scenario drills and PADI standards.
Attends meetings and trainings as requested and required.
Maintains a sound knowledge of the Company's facilities and related services.
Maintains confidentiality of information always received.
Performs other reasonable duties throughout the Division as requested by management.
Renewed PADI Dive Master with DSD leader or above.
First Aid Certified.
Excellent health and physical condition; Passes annual Dive Medical.
Must demonstrate swim skills by successfully passing annual departmental swim test.
Positive attitude and strong work ethics.
Must be articulate and confident in written and spoken English.
Must be comfortable performing assigned duties in close proximity to all animals in our collection.
Must be able to perform diving duties involving heavy lifting of all dive and cleaning equipment.
Demonstrates mature responsible behavior in duties.
