A North American curriculum school in Abu Dhabi is seeking a professional, adaptable, and passionate Secondary Science Teacher. The school is home to a diverse team of educators from the UK, Ireland, Canada, the USA, and South Africa, teaching primarily Emirati students along with a small expatriate student population. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective Science lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines Support students in developing critical thinking skills Use varied instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and examinations Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous academic growth Build a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional practices Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student development Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development Teachers benefit from a supportive, collaborative environment with opportunities for continuous professional learning and future leadership roles. • Bachelor s degree in Science, Education, or a related subject
• Recognized teaching qualification for secondary education i.e PGCE
• Previous experience teaching Science at the secondary level
• Strong understanding of Science curriculum standards and assessment practices
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt to a new cultural and professional environment
• Commitment to fostering respect for local customs and cultural values
• Experience teaching in the Middle East or within an international school setting
• Familiarity with American curriculum frameworks
• Advanced degree in Science or Education
