Sales Engineer – Industrial & Building Materials

We are seeking an experienced and results\-driven **Senior Technical Sales Engineer** to join our Technical Supplies division in Dubai. In this role, you will lead the technical review of client inquiries, prepare accurate project estimations and technical submittals, and drive commercial order conversions across major EPC contractors, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects in the UAE. You will focus directly on client engagement, technical solution design, and closing sales, supported by a dedicated central procurement and logistics team. Key Responsibilities * **RFQ \& Technical Specification Analysis:** Review client material requisitions, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), engineering drawings, and technical datasheets (piping, valves, structural, and specialized industrial supplies). * **Estimation \& Proposal Preparation:** Work with technical estimation sheets and landed cost inputs from our procurement desk to prepare competitive commercial quotations and formal compliance submittals. * **Client Engagement \& Account Management:** Manage relationships with key accounts, project procurement managers, and site engineers; conduct technical clarifications and lead commercial negotiations to close deals. * **Order Conversion \& Sales Pipeline:** Proactively follow up on submitted bids, track project status, resolve client technical queries, and ensure target conversion rates. * **Handover \& Coordination:** Coordinate confirmed purchase orders with internal procurement and operations teams to ensure seamless fulfillment and client satisfaction. Candidate Profile \& Requirements * **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline. * **Experience:** Minimum 3 to 6 years of proven technical sales or estimation experience in the UAE within industrial supplies, piping packages, valves, MEP, or technical building materials. * **Technical Skills:** Strong ability to interpret complex project specifications, technical datasheets, MTOs, and compliance standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, DIN, BS). * **Commercial Acumen:** Strong negotiation skills, understanding of commercial terms, margins, and the UAE contractor procurement cycle. * **Communication \& License:** Fluency in English (spoken and written); a valid UAE driving license is preferred.
