**Safety Officer / Mechanical Supervisor** **Reports To** Factory Manager / Plant Manager **Job Purpose** To ensure a safe working environment by implementing HSE policies while supervising the maintenance and efficient operation of all plant machinery, utilities, and mechanical equipment. **Key Responsibilities** **A. Safety Officer Responsibilities** * Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, Civil Defence regulations, and company HSE policies. * Conduct daily safety inspections of the factory, warehouse, and work areas. * Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions. * Conduct safety induction training for new employees and contractors. * Organize regular toolbox talks and safety awareness programs. * Ensure employees use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare investigation reports. * Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and incident logs. * Coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises. * Inspect fire extinguishers, fire pumps, emergency exits, alarms, and other fire protection systems. * Coordinate with Civil Defence, MODON, insurance companies, and government authorities regarding safety matters. * Ensure all statutory safety certificates and licenses remain valid. * Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures. * Monitor contractor safety compliance during maintenance and project activities. **B. Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities** * Supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all machinery and equipment. * Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules. * Diagnose and rectify mechanical failures promptly. * Monitor the performance and efficiency of production machines. * Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors. * Ensure proper maintenance of compressors, boilers (if applicable), pumps, conveyors, mixers, and utility systems. * Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend procurement of critical spares. * Coordinate with production to minimize machine downtime. * Ensure proper installation and commissioning of new equipment. * Maintain maintenance records and equipment history. * Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and productivity. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and permit\-to\-work requirements. **Documentation \& Reporting** * Daily maintenance report. * Preventive maintenance schedule. * Machine breakdown analysis. * Safety inspection reports. * Accident and incident reports. * Fire equipment inspection records. * Risk assessment reports. * PPE inspection records. * Monthly HSE report. **Qualifications** * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. * NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification preferred. * Knowledge of Saudi , Civil Defence, and MODON safety requirements. Pay: ﷼3,000\.00 \- ﷼4,500\.00 per month Work Location: In person
