Job description

• Candidates must have relevant experience in Substation and/or Overhead Transmission Line projects, either in India or internationally. • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to Indian regulatory standards and workplace environments. • Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) for all operational activities, focusing on potential Indian workplace hazards. • Investigate all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. • Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian safety legislation, including the Factories Act, and other applicable regulations. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) or equivalent. • The engineering college and the relevant discipline must be accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). • Possession of a relevant professional safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or Indian equivalent). • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in safety engineering within the Indian industrial sector. • Proven experience in implementing and managing OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems.
