GOPA Tech’s Abu Dhabi branch is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Resident Engineer – Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), Substation. The role will contribute to high\-voltage substation projects across the region as part of multidisciplinary teams delivering complex power infrastructure assignments.
What you will do
* Lead and oversee the MEP aspects of high\-voltage substation works.
* Review HVAC and firefighting works against the relevant technical specifications.
* Ensure that project activities comply with applicable international standards and industry best practices.
* Lead technical coordination and support the resolution of MEP\-related issues.
* Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
* Work effectively within a fast\-paced, multicultural project environment.
Your qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in high\-voltage substation projects involving 400 kV and/or 220 kV infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and firefighting specifications.
* Familiarity with relevant international standards and industry best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication and problem\-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced, multicultural environment.
