Regional Operations Director

About the Role Alcom Makassar is seeking an experienced and results\-driven Regional Operations Director to oversee and strengthen day\-to\-day business operations across the organization. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, developing effective processes, leading teams, monitoring performance, and supporting the company's broader business objectives. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands\-on operational leadership. You will work closely with management and department heads to improve productivity, control operating costs, maintain service standards, and ensure that business activities are executed efficiently and consistently. This role is well suited to an experienced operations leader who is comfortable managing people, processes, budgets, performance targets, and multiple operational priorities in a fast\-paced business environment. Key Responsibilities * Direct and oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient and reliable business performance. * Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, procedures, and performance standards. * Lead, coach, and develop managers and operational teams to achieve organizational objectives. * Establish and monitor KPIs to measure productivity, service quality, operational efficiency, and business performance. * Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs. * Review operational budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation in coordination with senior management. * Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reports and recommendations to company leadership. * Coordinate with finance, HR, sales, procurement, and other departments to ensure effective cross\-functional operations. * Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, safety requirements, and quality standards. * Manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, contractors, and other operational partners when required. * Standardize processes and introduce improvements that support scalability and sustainable growth. * Support strategic planning, business expansion, and organizational development initiatives. * Handle significant operational issues and escalations, making timely decisions to maintain business continuity. * Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, professionalism, and teamwork. Qualifications \& Requirements * Bachelor's degree in **Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Finance, or a related field**. * **7–10\+ years of progressive experience** in operations management, business management, or a related leadership function. * At least **3–5 years of experience in a senior management or operations leadership position**. * Demonstrated experience managing teams, departments, or operations across multiple functions or locations. * Strong understanding of operational planning, budgeting, resource management, and performance management. * Proven ability to establish KPIs, analyze performance data, and translate findings into operational improvements. * Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities with a practical, results\-oriented approach. * Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly **Excel, Word, and PowerPoint**; experience with ERP, CRM, or business reporting systems is an advantage. * Good knowledge of business processes, workplace policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. * Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross\-functional teams. * Fluency in **English** is required; **Arabic** is an advantage. * Experience working in Kuwait or the wider GCC market is preferred.
