RAK School cafe (barista)

**Role Overview** The Barista is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while preparing and serving beverages within the school canteen or café, managing daily sales entries, inventory, and maintaining a clean, well\-organized, and hygienic work environment. This role offers genuine potential for growth and promotion within the company for reliable, high\-performing team members. **Key Responsibilities** * Greet and serve students, staff, and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude * Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards * Accurately enter daily sales transactions using the POS system * Monitor and manage stock levels, reporting shortages and assisting with inventory counts * Set up the counter and equipment at the start of each shift and ensure proper closing procedures at the end * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, equipment, and utensils at all times, in line with food safety standards * Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly * Report any equipment issues, stock discrepancies, or customer concerns to the supervisor * Work reliably and punctually, supporting the smooth daily operation of the canteen **Requirements** * Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Basic numeracy skills for sales entry and cash handling * Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (training provided) * Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently * Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company **Growth Opportunity** This role offers a genuine pathway for career development.
