Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented **Quantity Surveyor**, seconded to our Client from government sector in **Doha, Qatar.**
You will be managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects by overseeing procurement, quantity surveying, cost management, and contract administration to ensure successful project delivery in line with client requirements and organisational standards.
We envisage success in this role to include;* Managing Framework Contractors and administering contracts throughout the procurement and project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with client requirements, Framework Agreements, and organisational policies.
* Leading the preparation, review, and finalisation of tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), scopes of work, pricing schedules, draft contracts, and work order selection procedures.
* Delivering accurate cost planning, estimating, commercial analysis, and financial advice throughout project delivery, including value engineering, interim valuations, and final account preparation.
* Administering the commercial and contractual aspects of assigned contracts from inception through close\-out, including variations, claims, dispute resolution, payment evaluations, and monitoring cost and schedule performance.
* Reviewing technical and commercial documentation, including tender submissions, service scopes, change requests, as\-built drawings, and supporting data, ensuring accuracy, quality, and contractual compliance.
* Collaborating with Project Managers, client stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to provide commercial guidance, resolve contractual matters, and support successful project delivery.
* Maintaining accurate contractual records while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics.
* Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and all applicable workplace instructions.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include **10\+ years of relevant experience**, partnered with a **Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying**. Demonstrated proficiency in **tender document preparation**, **Bills of Quantities (BOQ)**, **interim payment evaluation**s, and **final account preparation** is essential.
Furthermore, we would expect the following:* A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Specialist, preferably within a multidisciplinary consultancy and the Middle East.
* Strong knowledge of **FIDIC, JCT, CESMM**, and industry best practices in contract administration, procurement, cost management, and project delivery.
* Proven experience preparing and administering pre\- and post\-award contracts, including tendering, contract management, and contract close\-out.
* Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical commercial solutions.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
