Job Description We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented **Quantity Surveying Engineer** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in **quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, valuations, variations, and commercial documentation**. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans**. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities. * Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage. * Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims. * Evaluate variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions. * Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications. * Prepare comparison statements for suppliers and subcontractors. * Assist with tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations. * Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns. * Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports. * Assist with final accounts, claims, cost reconciliation, and contract administration. * Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and payments. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of **BOQ preparation, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts**. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Good knowledge of construction materials, labour rates, subcontractor pricing, and market rates. * Experience with subcontractor payments, tendering, and commercial documentation. * Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures; **FIDIC knowledge is an advantage**. * Proficiency in **MS Excel and AutoCAD**. Experience with QS/estimation software is an advantage. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is preferred.** Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa, residential, commercial, high\-rise, civil, fit\-out, or general building construction projects** will be highly considered.
