Quality Controller

We are currently seeking an experienced **Quality Controller – Piping** for a leading client in Doha. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in **piping fabrication, installation, welding inspection, NDT, PWHT, and pressure testing**, preferably within shipyard, marine, Oil \& Gas, or heavy industrial projects. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct piping quality inspections in accordance with QMS procedures, ITPs, drawings, and project specifications * Inspect **pipe fabrication, installation, fit\-up, and welding** activities * Coordinate and monitor NDT activities as required by approved ITPs * Monitor **PWHT** activities and verify compliance with project requirements * Witness and inspect pressure testing activities * Identify, document, and follow up on non\-conformances and quality issues * Maintain inspection reports, checklists, records, and quality documentation * Support preparation of Inspection \& Test Plans and inspection procedures * Coordinate with supervisors, welders, fabricators, engineers, and project teams * Ensure HSE and quality requirements are consistently implemented * Promote safe working practices and minimize rework through effective in\-process inspection ### **Skills \& Qualifications:** * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering**, or related discipline * Proven experience in **Piping Quality Control / Inspection** * Experience in **shipyard, marine, Oil \& Gas, or heavy industrial projects** is preferred * Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation, fit\-up, and welding inspection * Good understanding of **NDT, PWHT, pressure testing, ITPs, and QMS procedures** * Strong knowledge of applicable piping, welding, and quality standards * Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills ### **Preferred Certifications:** * **CSWIP / AWS Welding Inspector** * **ASNT / PCN NDT Certification** * **NDT Level II** * Relevant QA/QC certifications * Knowledge of **ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems**
