Job description
1. Quality Protocol Adherence
• Ensure all products manufactured during the assigned shift comply with approved product specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality rounds on the production floor to monitor both physical and visual quality parameters.
• Monitor and record production area and warehouse temperature and relative humidity (RH), reporting any deviations to the Quality Manager.
• Coordinate with machine operators & Technicians to identify quality deviations, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
• Maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and ensure all quality inspections are performed according to the defined inspection frequency.
• Verify that the correct raw materials are issued to production machines and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any material-related quality issues.
• Utilize quality tools such as SPC, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why Analysis, and CAPA for quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Support investigations into customer complaints, process deviations, and quality incidents.
• Perform scheduled calibration of all quality testing equipment and maintain complete, accurate calibration records in accordance with quality procedures.
2. Visual and Physical Quality Inspection
• Perform visual and physical inspections of cigarette filters according to approved inspection procedures.
• Evaluate trial samples and document machine runnability observations.
• Immediately report abnormal trends or out-of-specification results to the Production and Quality teams.
• Ensure product segregation and disposition of non-conforming materials.
3. Records and Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of routine inspections, quality tests, and production trials.
• Record all trial activities in the Trial Log and prepare detailed trial reports.
• Archive all supporting documents, including request forms, inspection records, checklists, and trial reports.
Skills and Competencies
• Good knowledge of cigarette filter manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and statistical process control (SPC).
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and quality measuring instruments.
• Proficient in root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, Pareto).
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a shift environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
