**About NRTC Group:** · Glorious legacy of over 50 years in the U.A.E · Growth from humble beginnings to an industry pioneer · Leading importer and exporter of fruits and vegetables. · A dynamic group of 3000 associates and growing!! · Modern storage facilities compliant with ISO standards. · Fleet of 300\+ vehicles. **QHSE Supervisor – Fruits \& Vegetables Cold Store** **Department:** Quality / QHSE / Warehouse Operations **Reports To:** Operations Manager **Location:** UAE **Certification:** **PIC Level 3 Certification – Mandatory** **Job Purpose** To supervise and ensure compliance with **Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Food Safety and inventory\-control requirements** across the fruits and vegetables cold\-store operation. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of fresh\-produce quality, cold\-chain compliance, hygiene, workplace safety and inventory accuracy through systematic inspections, product\-quality checks, cycle counts, audits, associate training and corrective\-action follow\-up. The QHSE Supervisor will also act as a **subject\-matter specialist for fresh\-produce quality and food\-safety practices**, providing guidance and training to warehouse, receiving, QC, inventory and operations teams. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Quality Control – Fruits \& Vegetables** * Supervise quality\-control activities across inbound, storage, processing, cross\-dock and outbound operations. * Conduct and supervise dock\-level sampling and receiving quality inspections. * Inspect fresh fruits and vegetables for grading, freshness, and overall quality compliance. * Establish and maintain grading and product\-acceptance standards. * Ensure proper segregation of: * Prime stock * Reject stock * Damaged stock * Expired stock * Ensure expired products are blocked from entering the cross\-dock or dispatch process. * Conduct destructive sampling and internal\-quality analysis for products prone to internal defects. * Record, photograph and report quality findings. * Verify products against approved product images, specifications and scanner/system information. * Provide quality guidance to receiving, warehouse and QC associates on product acceptability. * Identify and escalate recurring quality issues for supplier/vendor corrective action. * Conduct regular vendor quality reviews where applicable. * Track inbound rejection rates, dock rejections and internal quality rejections. **2\. Food Safety \& Hygiene** * Ensure compliance with UAE food\-safety regulations and internal food\-safety standards. * Ensure timely and accurate updates of **Dubai Municipality Foodwatch / DM Checked requirements**, where applicable. * Monitor compliance across: * Inbound receiving * Storage * Cross\-docking * Processing * Dispatch * GMP requirements * Conduct routine hygiene and GMP inspections. * Ensure correct cold\-room and product\-storage temperatures are maintained. * Review and verify temperature\-monitoring records. * Ensure proper segregation of sensitive and odor producing products. * Monitor FIFO and FEFO compliance. * Ensure food\-contact areas and equipment meet hygiene requirements. * Monitor pest\-control compliance and escalate observations immediately. * Investigate product contamination, spoilage and food\-safety incidents. * Maintain food\-safety and hygiene inspection records for audit purposes. **3\. Health \& Safety** * Conduct regular workplace safety inspections across warehouse, cold\-store, loading and unloading areas. * Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and operational risks. * Ensure employees comply with PPE requirements. * Monitor forklift and pedestrian segregation. * Ensure loading bays, aisles, emergency exits and access routes remain clear. * Ensure firefighting and emergency equipment remains accessible. * Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings. * Investigate: * Accidents * Incidents * Near misses * Property damage * Conduct root\-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. * Track closure of safety observations and corrective actions. * Support emergency evacuation and safety drills. * Promote a strong safety culture across warehouse operations. **4\. Inventory Control \& Physical Verification** * Supervise daily cycle\-counting activities. * Conduct physical stock verification against system inventory. * Investigate physical\-versus\-system inventory variances. * Coordinate recounts before inventory adjustments. * Ensure no stock adjustment is processed without proper investigation and authorization. * Maintain complete cycle\-count and variance\-investigation records. * Support monthly, quarterly and annual stock counts. * Identify recurring inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective action. * Verify correct product location and traceability within the warehouse. **5\. Outbound \& Dispatch Quality Audits** * Conduct random quality audits for inbound and outbound. * Inspect: Product quality, Product temperature, Pre\-cooling compliance, Pallet condition, Palletization, Packaging, Labelling, Quantity accuracy * Ensure damaged, expired or unacceptable products are not accepted inbound or dispatched. * Verify FIFO/FEFO compliance during dispatch. * Escalate quality deviations before vehicle departure. * Maintain outbound audit records. **6\. Equipment Calibration \& Compliance** * Conduct or coordinate internal calibration checks for: * Weighing scales * Thermometers * Temperature probes * Other quality\-monitoring devices * Maintain calibration schedules and logbooks. * Ensure devices are calibrated according to SOP requirements. * Remove defective or out\-of\-calibration equipment from use. * Coordinate external calibration where required. **7\. Training \& Development** * Conduct shift\-start quality and safety briefings. * Deliver training to employees on: * Fresh\-produce handling * Product grading * Quality standards * Hygiene * GMP * FIFO/FEFO * Cold\-chain requirements * Food safety * PPE * Workplace safety * Act as a specialist L\&D resource for fresh fruits and vegetables handling. * Coach receiving, QC and warehouse associates on product\-quality standards. * Maintain training attendance and competency records. * Identify recurring operational errors and provide refresher training. **8\. Audits, Reporting \& Documentation** * Maintain accurate QHSE, QC and inventory documentation. * Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality and safety reports. * Maintain evidence required for internal and external audits. * Document product, PO and supplier discrepancies with relevant timestamps and user details. * Track: * Product rejection rates * Quality complaints * Inventory variances * Temperature deviations * Safety incidents * Near misses * Audit findings * Corrective actions * Conduct internal compliance audits. * Support customer, regulatory and certification audits. * Escalate significant quality, food\-safety, safety or inventory risks immediately to management. **Education \& Certification** **Mandatory** * **PIC Level 3 Certification is mandatory.** * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in one of the following is preferred: * Food Science * Food Technology * Occupational Health \& Safety **Preferred Certifications** * HACCP Certification * Food Safety Certification * ISO 22000 / Food Safety Management System exposure * ISO 9001 Quality Management exposure * Occupational Health \& Safety certification such as IOSH or NEBOSH * Internal Auditor Certification **Experience Required** * Minimum **2–3 years of relevant experience** in quality, food safety, QHSE, inventory control or warehouse operations. * **Hands\-on experience in Fruits \& Vegetables / fresh produce is strongly preferred.** * Experience within any of the following industries is preferred: * Fruits \& Vegetables * 3PL * Cold Store * Food Processing * Strong experience with fresh\-produce receiving, grading, handling and quality standards. * Experience working in temperature\-controlled or cold\-store environments. * Experience conducting inventory cycle counts and variance investigations. * UAE food\-industry or cold\-store experience is mandatory. * Knowledge of Dubai Municipality / Foodwatch requirements is a must. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary * Medical Insurance * Friendly and supportive working environment * Career growth opportunities within the company * Visa provided by the company Pay: AED6,000\.00 \- AED6,500\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Are you available to join immediately? * What is your expected monthly salary in AED?
