Purchaser – Construction Industry

QUALIFICATION \& EXPERIENCE * Minimum **2–3 years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Procurement within the construction industry**. * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in **Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field** is preferred. * Experience in sourcing **construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables**. * Familiarity with local suppliers and construction\-sector vendors is an advantage. SKILLS REQUIRED * Strong understanding of the **end\-to\-end procurement cycle**, from purchase requisition to PO and delivery. * Ability to obtain quotations, prepare **price comparisons**, and negotiate commercial terms. * Good supplier and vendor coordination skills. * Experience preparing and processing **POs, delivery notes, invoices, and GRNs**. * Ability to coordinate with **site teams, stores, suppliers, and accounts**. * Knowledge of **inventory control, stock reconciliation, material returns, and replacements**. * Good **MS Excel** skills, including formulas, tracking sheets, purchase registers, and delivery logs. * Strong administrative, organizational, follow\-up, and communication skills. * Ability to monitor **open orders, delivery schedules, supplier turnaround times, and pending materials**. * Knowledge of construction procurement and site material requirements.
