We are Cambridge University Press \& Assessment, a world\-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. We are looking for a Public Relations Officer to join our team in Oman. In this important role, you will act as the key link between Cambridge and local government authorities, supporting our operations by managing essential government processes and helping ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. **About the Role** As a Public Relations Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating government\-related processes on behalf of Cambridge in Oman. Working closely with local authorities, employees, and internal teams, you will help ensure that visas, permits, licences, and other documentation are processed accurately and on time. **Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:** * Managing government\-related transactions, including visas, labour cards, residency permits, renewals, cancellations, and transfers. * Liaising with government authorities and service centres to support day\-to\-day operational and compliance requirements. * Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to immigration, residency, and employment documentation. * Maintaining accurate records of employee documents, company licences, permits, and renewal dates, ensuring timely action where required. * Processing government payments and supporting the preparation, submission, and follow\-up of required documentation. * Providing administrative support to the In\-Country Manager and internal teams, while helping ensure compliance with local regulations and company requirements. **About You** We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with experience handling government transactions and administrative processes in Oman. You will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships with government authorities and colleagues. Essential criteria: * Experience handling government transactions and administrative processes in Oman. * Good understanding of Omani labour, immigration, visa, and residency processes. * Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English. * Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and documentation. * Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with government authorities and external stakeholders. * Good problem\-solving skills and ability to follow up on matters through to completion. * Valid Omani driving licence and willingness to travel locally when required.
