Job description

Oversee and coordinate mechanical site activities including HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, drainage, chilled water systems, and other mechanical installations. Review mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, plumbing schematics, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and work plans for mechanical installation activities. Monitor and inspect mechanical works to ensure compliance with design, quality, and Saudi Building Code requirements. Coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, subcontractor, and consultant teams. Prepare daily reports, progress updates, material logs, and technical documentation. Conduct site measurements, equipment verification, and material reconciliation to support cost control and procurement. Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and installation challenges. Support shop drawings, equipment submittments, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings. Ensure HSE compliance and promote a safety-first culture on site. Participate in project meetings, site inspections, and coordination sessions. Assist in planning and scheduling mechanical installation activities using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools. Support testing and commissioning activities including system balancing, performance testing, final inspections, snagging, and handover. • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 12 15 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering for construction projects. • Proven experience in large-scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use projects. • Hands-on experience in HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, chilled water plants, and mechanical installations. • Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification is preferred. • PMP certification is an advantage. • Very Good in English. • Strong ability to read mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, plumbing schematics, and MEP specifications. • Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, ERP systems, digital project management platforms, construction contracts, specifications, Saudi Building Code, equipment commissioning, testing procedures, and quality control for mechanical systems. • Strong problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, teamwork, quality, safety, and risk management skills.
