Project Manager - Construction

**Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Project Manager – Construction** to lead the end\-to\-end delivery of major construction projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will take full ownership of assigned projects from **mobilization through execution, commissioning, and final handover**, ensuring delivery within approved **schedule, budget, quality, HSE, contractual, and commercial requirements**. The role requires a strong main\-contracting background, particularly in **residential tower projects**, together with proven leadership of multidisciplinary construction teams. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Planning \& Delivery** * Lead projects from initiation and mobilization through construction, commissioning, and handover. * Define project scope, deliverables, budgets, milestones, and execution priorities. * Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedules. * Track progress against planned milestones and proactively resolve delays. * Coordinate with consultants and design teams to ensure design deliverables support construction requirements. **Construction \& Site Management** * Lead day\-to\-day site operations across **Civil, MEP, Architectural and Finishing disciplines**. * Manage Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors. * Ensure effective sequencing, manpower utilization, productivity, and resource allocation. * Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce contractual obligations. * Identify project risks and implement timely corrective actions. **Commercial, Cost \& Billing Management** * Maintain strict control over project budgets, costs, variations, and claims. * Prepare and monitor monthly billing forecasts and ensure achievement against projections. * Ensure billing accurately reflects completed works and contractual schedules. * Coordinate procurement schedules and timely material/subcontractor awards. * Review supplier and subcontractor packages and initiate variations/change orders where required. * Identify and escalate risks affecting project profitability, billing, or cash flow. **Client \& Stakeholder Management** * Serve as the primary project\-level contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders. * Lead regular progress, coordination, and site meetings. * Provide accurate and transparent reporting on project progress, risks, and corrective actions. * Manage conflicts professionally and maintain strong client relationships. **Quality, HSE \& Compliance** * Ensure strict implementation of the Project Quality Management Plan and HSE requirements. * Ensure timely technical submittals, inspections, approvals, and NCR closures. * Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, contractual requirements, specifications, and company procedures. **Project Closeout** * Lead testing, commissioning, final inspections, snagging, and handover. * Ensure submission of as\-built drawings, warranties, O\&M documentation, and other closeout deliverables. * Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives. **Candidate Requirements** * **Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.** * Master’s Degree is an advantage. * **Minimum 15 years of construction experience.** * **Minimum 7–10 years of Project Management experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor.** * Strong experience in **residential tower projects**. * **GCC contracting experience is mandatory.** * **MME/UPDA certification required.** * PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred. * Proven track record delivering **large\-scale, multidisciplinary construction projects**. * Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, billing, procurement, claims, QA/QC, and HSE. * Strong experience managing **Civil, MEP and Finishing works**. * Excellent leadership, client management, negotiation, problem\-solving, and decision\-making skills. * **Fluency in English and Arabic required.** **Key Competencies** Strong project ownership, commercial awareness, leadership, transparent reporting, client\-facing capability, conflict resolution, decision\-making, resilience, and the ability to deliver results under demanding project conditions.
