Project Engineer (Civil)

**Position Title:** Project Engineer (Civil) **Location:** Kuwait **Company:** Loloah Alshaya General Trading \& Contracting Company **Department:** Projects / Civil Engineering **Reporting To:** Project Manager / General Manager Position Overview Loloah Alshaya General Trading \& Contracting Company is seeking a highly experienced **Project Engineer (Civil)** with **10\+ years of verifiable experience** in civil construction and project execution in Kuwait. The successful candidate must have strong hands\-on experience managing site activities, coordinating with clients and consultants, supervising subcontractors and site teams, and ensuring projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards. Candidates with the necessary **relevant approvals** and demonstrated experience working on approved projects in Kuwait will be given priority. The candidate must be **available to join immediately**. Key Responsibilities * Manage and supervise day\-to\-day civil construction and project execution activities. * Ensure all site works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and project requirements. * Coordinate directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. * Review civil and structural drawings and identify technical or execution issues before they impact the project. * Manage site engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and labor resources. * Monitor project schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and daily productivity. * Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports. * Monitor actual progress against the approved program and immediately highlight delays or potential risks. * Prepare and follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, material approvals, method statements, technical submittals, and related project documentation. * Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities. * Ensure corrective actions are implemented for rejected works, NCRs, and site observations. * Verify quantities and completed works and support preparation and review of progress payments. * Coordinate procurement requirements and ensure critical materials are available according to the project schedule. * Ensure strict compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. * Attend progress, technical, coordination, and client meetings and follow up on agreed action items. * Coordinate civil works with MEP and other disciplines to prevent clashes and execution delays. * Support variation identification, claims documentation, and additional\-work records when required. * Manage testing, inspections, snagging, as\-built documentation, handover, and project close\-out activities. * Maintain professional communication with clients and consultants and represent the company appropriately on site. Qualifications \& Skills * Bachelor’s degree in **Civil Engineering**. * Minimum **10\+ years of verifiable professional experience** in civil engineering, construction, and project execution. * Proven experience as a **Project Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, or similar project execution position**. * Must have **relevant project/authority approvals** applicable to the position; candidates should be able to provide evidence of approvals when requested. * **Active Kuwait Engineering Society membership is required.** * Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, structural works, infrastructure works, finishing works, and site execution. * Strong understanding of project drawings, BOQs, specifications, contracts, and construction documentation. * Good knowledge of Kuwait construction practices and relevant authority requirements. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Excel, and project reporting tools. * Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage. * Strong leadership and manpower\-management capabilities. * Excellent communication, coordination, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to independently manage site activities and take responsibility for project deliverables. * Kuwait experience is strongly preferred. * **Verifiable employment and project history is required.** * Valid transferable Kuwait residency preferred. * **Must be available to join immediately.** Top 5 Essential Skills * **Civil Project Execution** – Strong hands\-on ability to manage civil works from mobilization through completion and handover. * **Site \& Team Management** – Ability to manage engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and manpower effectively. * **Technical \& Drawing Expertise** – Strong ability to review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation. * **Project Coordination \& Problem Solving** – Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams while resolving site issues quickly. * **Planning \& Progress Control** – Ability to monitor schedules, productivity, resources, procurement requirements, and project progress against planned targets.
