Project Engineer

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Project Engineer** to support the successful delivery of major construction and real estate projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring design compliance, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle while maintaining compliance with project requirements and international standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and verify design and technical documents submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards. * Ensure the contractor's Basis of Design, engineering calculations, and drawings comply with project specifications and international engineering codes. * Review key engineering deliverables, including Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design drawings across multiple disciplines. * Review technical submittals for materials, equipment, supplier pre\-qualification documents, builders' work drawings, and MEP coordination drawings. * Coordinate and respond to technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) to support timely project execution. * Monitor and evaluate design changes and value engineering proposals, assessing their technical and commercial impact. * Conduct design quality audits, technical reviews, and assurance assessments of contractors and design consultants. * Monitor the timely submission and review of technical documents in accordance with project schedules and service level requirements. * Support the project management team in identifying critical design and construction deliverables requiring review and approval. * Utilize project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or similar document management systems to manage technical submittals and project correspondence. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and project management for real estate or construction projects. * At least 3 years of experience on major real estate or construction projects within the Middle East. * Proven experience in design coordination, technical review, engineering management, and project execution. * Strong understanding of engineering design processes, construction methodologies, and multidisciplinary project coordination. **Technical Requirements** * Good knowledge of international engineering codes and standards, including IBC, BS, NFPA, and other relevant industry specifications. * Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and design documentation. * Experience using project collaboration and document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation tools. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and organizational skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and clients. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
