Procurement Specialist – Food & Beverage

Job Title: Procurement Specialist – Food \& Beverage **Department:** Procurement / Supply Chain **Experience:** 1–3 years in procurement, preferably in the food, retail, supermarket, or FMCG sector. **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. Job Summary We are looking for a **Procurement Specialist** with experience in the **Food \& Beverage / FMCG sector** to manage purchasing activities, develop supplier relationships, negotiate competitive prices, and ensure the availability of products while maintaining quality and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Manage the procurement process for food products, beverages, and related supplies. * Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and delivery performance. * Request and compare quotations from approved and potential suppliers. * Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements. * Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely availability. * Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to avoid shortages or overstocking. * Ensure purchased products meet required quality, specifications, shelf\-life, and food safety standards. * Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and regularly evaluate supplier performance. * Monitor market prices and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs. * Coordinate with suppliers regarding shortages, damaged products, returns, and replacements. * Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, and purchase orders. * Prepare procurement reports and analyze purchasing costs and supplier performance. * Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. * Coordinate with Finance to ensure invoices, purchase orders, and deliveries are properly matched and processed. * Support the development of approved supplier lists and alternative sources for key products.
