**Procurement QC Engineer \- Mechanical/Plumbing**
**Project:** Industrial Buildings
**Location:** Al Ruwais (initially Musaffah)

**Job Purpose**
The **Procurement QC Engineer – Mechanical** will be responsible for ensuring that all procured **mechanical materials and equipment, including HVAC and plumbing systems**, comply with approved project specifications, QA/QC requirements, applicable standards, and Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs).
The role will oversee procurement quality activities from vendor documentation and material submittals through source/vendor inspection, testing, certification, delivery, storage, and preservation. The successful candidate will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Vendors, and Project QA/QC teams to ensure full compliance with project requirements.
**Core Qualifying Criteria**
* **Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering** or a related discipline.
* Minimum **10 years of QA/QC experience**, preferably within **EPC, Oil \& Gas, industrial, or major building projects**.
* Strong experience in **procurement quality control, vendor inspection, and source inspection**.
* Proven experience with **mechanical materials and equipment**, particularly **HVAC and plumbing systems**.
* Strong knowledge of **material certification, testing, inspection, traceability, and quality documentation**.
* Experience with **welding inspection and NDT documentation**, including review of relevant inspection and test records.
* Accomplished experience working on **large\-scale industrial building projects within the GCC region**.
* Familiarity with **ITPs, vendor quality plans, material submittals, MTCs, NCRs, inspection reports, and manufacturing documentation**.
* Ability to review technical documentation and identify quality or specification non\-compliance.
* Strong coordination and communication skills with vendors, suppliers, engineering, procurement, and project QA/QC teams.
**Preferred Experience**
Preference will be given to candidates with:
* Previous experience on **large\-scale industrial, Oil \& Gas, EPC, refinery, petrochemical, or energy projects** in the GCC.
* Experience working on **ADNOC or other major UAE Oil \& Gas projects**.
* Experience in **Ruwais or Abu Dhabi\-based industrial projects**.
* Strong exposure to **HVAC, plumbing, piping, mechanical equipment, and associated materials**.
* Experience with **vendor manufacturing inspections and source inspections**.
* Good understanding of applicable **ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, BS, EN**, and project\-specific standards.
* Relevant professional QA/QC or inspection certifications will be an advantage.
