Job description
We are looking for a motivated Procurement Executive to handle purchases of fruits, vegetables, and other foodstuff items. The ideal candidate should be computer\-literate, confident in email communication, and able to coordinate with suppliers to support smooth procurement operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Source and purchase fruits, vegetables, and other foodstuff products from local and international suppliers.
* Maintain daily communication with suppliers to ensure timely availability of required items.
* Prepare and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and related documents.
* Maintain updated records of suppliers, pricing, and stock availability.
* Coordinate with the store and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery and stock availability.
* Support inventory planning and help avoid shortages or overstock situations.
* Work closely with the accounts team to verify invoices and ensure timely payments.
* Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to optimize purchasing.
* Handle daily email correspondence with suppliers and internal departments.
**Qualifications:**
* Proven experience as a **Purchase Executive** in the **foodstuff / fruits \& vegetables trading industry** (preferred).
* Proficiency in **MS Office (Word, Excel)** and strong **email communication skills**.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of local and international suppliers in the food industry is an added advantage.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
