Job description

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and cost-saving targets, ensuring that all materials are sourced efficiently. • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts that provide the best value for the company. • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and requirements, ensuring that purchased materials meet project standards. • Manage supplier relationships effectively, monitoring performance and resolving issues to maintain continuity of supply and quality. • Sourced, evaluated, and pre-qualified vendors in accordance with company procurement policies and approved supplier lists. • Prepared RFQs/RFPs, conducted commercial and technical evaluations, and issued comparison reports with cost and value analysis. • Negotiated pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance standards. • Prepared and issued purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements in coordination with legal, finance, and technical teams. • Monitored supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contract compliance; resolved commercial and operational issues. • Coordinated with project, asset management, facilities, and operations teams to ensure timely procurement support. • Managed variations, change orders, and contract amendments, ensuring proper approvals and documentation. • Verified invoices against contracts, POs, and delivery records; supported timely payments and reconciliations. • Maintained procurement records, contracts, approvals, and reports in line with internal controls and audit requirements. • Supported annual budgeting, cost control, and procurement planning for corporate and project requirements. • Ensured compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architect, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential for understanding technical requirements. • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement within the engineering or construction sectors, demonstrating a solid understanding of industry-specific needs. • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly preferred. • Experience with procurement software and tools, including ERP systems, to streamline purchasing processes and improve efficiency.
