**Job Description – Procurement Engineer**
**Position:** Procurement Engineer
**Location:** Salalah, Sultanate of Oman
**Experience Required:** 5–10 Years GCC Experience
**Qualification:** Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial or related field) – Attested Certificates Required
**Job Responsibilities**
* Handle end\-to\-end procurement activities for project and maintenance requirements.
* Prepare and process purchase orders based on project needs and material requests.
* Source materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers and vendors.
* Obtain quotations, perform technical and commercial comparison, and prepare evaluation reports.
* Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
* Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams to ensure material compliance and timely delivery.
* Follow up on orders, shipments, and delivery schedules.
* Maintain and update supplier database and approved vendor list.
* Ensure procurement is carried out as per company procedures and project budget.
* Support estimation and costing teams with material pricing and market rates.
* Handle procurement documentation, records, and reporting.
**Requirements**
* Minimum 5–10 years GCC experience in procurement for construction / MEP / ELV / industrial projects.
* Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing and supplier management.
* Experience in handling technical procurement for electrical, mechanical, or ELV materials.
* Good negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to read technical specifications and drawings (advantage).
* Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar) is an advantage.
* Strong analytical and coordination skills.
* GCC Driving License is an added advantage.
