Job description

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Personal Chef to prepare daily meals for a private Indian family based in Dubai. The role requires strong expertise in authentic Indian cuisine (vegetarian and nonvegetarian), along with the ability to cook a variety of other cuisines such as Chinese, Thai, and Continental dishes. The chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals while ensuring high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) in line with family preferences. Specialize in authentic Indian dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), including regional varieties. Prepare multi-cuisine dishes (Chinese, Thai, Continental, etc.) upon request. Create weekly menu plans balancing taste, nutrition, and dietary needs. Manage grocery shopping and maintain an inventory of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Ensure kitchen hygiene, food safety, and proper storage practices are followed at all times. Assist during family gatherings or special occasions, including preparation, plating, and serving. Minimize food waste and manage resources efficiently. Maintain a discreet and respectful presence within the household. Requirements Proven experience as a chef/cook in a private household or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine (North, South, regional specialties) with versatility in other cuisines. Understanding of special dietary requirements (low-oil, diabetic-friendly, vegetarian/non-vegetarian separation). Excellent time management and ability to deliver meals on schedule. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work independently with professionalism and discretion. Flexibility to adapt working hours during family events or occasions. Preferred Qualifications Any degree/Diploma or professional chef training (preferred, not mandatory). Previous experience working with Indian/Asian families the UAE or abroad. Good communication skills (English or Hindi/other Indian languages). Own visa/ freelance visa preferred. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience).
