Power BI Developer – Data Engineering, Reporting & Dashboard Specialist

We are looking for an experienced **Power BI Developer** with strong expertise in **dashboard development, data engineering, SQL\-based ETL, and data modeling** to support the Business Intelligence Unit at Bank Muscat. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in Power BI, SQL Server, and banking/financial datasets, with the ability to develop high\-quality dashboards and optimize data pipelines and reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop interactive **Power BI dashboards and reports** for banking and financial data. * Develop and maintain reports using **Power BI Report Server** in an on\-premise environment. * Develop SQL\-based ETL processes for reporting and analytics. * Write, optimize, and maintain **T\-SQL queries and stored procedures**. * Develop efficient data models using **Star Schema and Snowflake Schema**. * Implement **DAX, Power Query, and Row\-Level Security (RLS)**. * Optimize Power BI reports, queries, and data models for performance. * Automate and maintain data refresh processes. * Work with large transactional and financial datasets. * Collaborate with BI team leads and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements. * Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency. Required Skills \& Experience * **5\+ years of experience** in Power BI development, data modeling, and SQL\-based ETL. * Strong hands\-on expertise in **Power BI, DAX, and Power Query**. * Strong knowledge of **SQL Server and T\-SQL**. * Experience with **stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization**. * Practical experience with **SSIS** and ETL workflows. * Strong understanding of data modeling and reporting best practices. * Experience working with **banking, financial, or transactional datasets**. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Experience working within a structured **Business Intelligence / Data Analytics team**. Preferred / Added Advantage * Experience with **SAS**, particularly for data transformation and analytics. * Previous experience in the **banking or financial services sector**. * Experience with on\-premise BI and reporting environments. Education Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field**. Pay: From RO1,000\.000 per month Work Location: In person
