Job description

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems. • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical control panels, PLC systems, and CNC machines. • Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, automation, and control systems to minimize equipment downtime. • Configure, commission, and maintain field devices, including sensors, actuators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), flow meters, and other process instrumentation. • Interpret and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and P&IDs. • Develop and maintain PLC programs using IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including: • Ladder Diagram (LD) for discrete control applications • Structured Text (ST) for complex mathematical calculations, algorithms, and advanced control logic • Other IEC 61131-3 languages as required • Perform PLC and HMI modifications, testing, and system commissioning. • Troubleshoot communication networks and industrial protocols between PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and field instruments. • Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company procedures, and applicable industry regulations. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including PLC backups, electrical drawings, and maintenance records. • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency. • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Diploma. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation. • Hands-on experience with: - Sensors - Actuators - Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) - CNC control systems - Flow meters - Process instrumentation • Strong experience in electrical and controls maintenance of control panels and CNC machines. • Solid understanding of industrial automation systems and process control. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. • Electrical control panel maintenance and troubleshooting. • Proficiency in multiple IEC 61131-3 programming languages, particularly: Ladder Diagram (LD) and Structured Text (ST)
