Planning Engineer – Villas & High-Rise Projects

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Planning Engineer** with strong experience in **villa and high\-rise building projects** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a **Civil Engineering or Construction Management** background and strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and project controls. Experience with **Primavera P6 and/or MS Project**, advanced MS Excel, and construction project reporting is required. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update **baseline schedules, master construction programs, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)**. * Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6 and/or MS Project**. * Monitor actual site progress against the approved baseline schedule. * Identify schedule variances, delays, critical activities, and potential project risks. * Perform **Critical Path Method (CPM)** analysis and monitor critical activities. * Carry out resource loading and leveling as required. * Prepare **Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports** for management and project stakeholders. * Develop and maintain **S\-curves, progress dashboards, and project tracking reports**. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and other departments to collect accurate progress information. * Monitor construction activities and ensure schedules are aligned with actual site execution. * Review material procurement lead times and subcontractor progress to identify potential impacts on the project schedule. * Analyze delays and assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans. * Read, interpret, and cross\-reference **architectural, structural, and MEP drawings** to develop and update project schedules. * Monitor productivity rates and assist with project performance and cost tracking. * Provide planning support for **Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and claims**. * Apply knowledge of standard construction contract conditions, including **FIDIC**, where applicable. * Assist management in identifying potential schedule risks and recommending corrective actions. Requirements * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in construction planning. * Proven experience working on **villa and/or high\-rise building projects**. * Bachelor’s Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**. * Advanced or working proficiency in **Primavera P6 and/or MS Project**. * Advanced knowledge of **MS Excel**, including data tracking, dashboards, S\-curves, and progress analysis. * Good knowledge of **MS Word and PowerPoint** for preparing and presenting project reports. * Strong understanding of **CPM, WBS, baseline schedules, resource loading, and schedule updating**. * Ability to read and interpret **architectural, structural, and MEP drawings**. * Knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution, procurement lead times, and subcontractor coordination. * Basic understanding of **EVM, productivity rates, and cost tracking**. * Familiarity with **FIDIC contracts, EOT, delay analysis, and claims support**. * Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills. * Good command of **English and Hindi**, both spoken and written. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are preferred.** Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a highly organized and analytical professional who can independently manage project schedules, accurately monitor construction progress, identify delays, and provide practical recommendations to keep projects on track.
