Job description

**Planning Engineer** **Key Responsibilities:** · Develop and maintain detailed **baseline and construction schedules** for civil projects. · Prepare project programmes covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing and handover activities. · Develop **WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)** and activity schedules in coordination with project teams. · Collect and analyze progress data from site teams and update project schedules regularly. · Monitor actual progress against planned progress and identify delays, critical activities and potential risks. · Prepare **daily, weekly and monthly progress reports** for management and clients. · Prepare progress measurement and monitor physical progress against the approved programme. · Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, Procurement, Commercial/QS and HSE teams to obtain accurate progress information. · Prepare **manpower and resource loading** and monitor resource requirements against project plans. · Prepare and maintain **S\-curves, progress curves, histograms and other planning reports**. · Identify critical path activities and monitor their impact on overall project completion. · Analyze project delays and prepare **recovery programmes and catch\-up schedules** where required. · Assist in preparation of **Extension of Time (EOT)** documentation and delay analysis, when required. · Monitor planned versus actual manpower, materials and equipment deployment. · Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure that required materials, drawings and approvals are available in line with the construction programme. · Review subcontractor programmes and monitor their progress against approved schedules. · Prepare look\-ahead programmes, including **2\-week, 3\-week and monthly schedules**, as required. · Conduct regular progress review meetings with project/site teams and record action points. · Maintain updated project schedules and ensure proper documentation of revisions and changes. · Assist the Project Manager in forecasting project completion dates and identifying potential schedule risks. · Monitor project milestones and contractual deliverables. · Prepare management dashboards and presentations highlighting project progress, delays, risks and recovery actions. · Ensure planning activities are aligned with approved project scope, contract requirements and client expectations. **Qualification:** · Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. · Strong proficiency in **Primavera P6**. **Experience:** · **8 to 10 years** of experience with minimum of 3 yrs in Gulf. Pay: RO700\.000 \- RO800\.000 per month Work Location: In person
