Job description

• Key Responsibilities 1. Estimation & Tendering • Study, analyse, and interpret tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications. • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates covering manpower, materials, equipment, subcontracting, overheads, and margins. • Identify project scope, risks, assumptions, and exclusions during estimation. • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. • Conduct site visits when required for scope verification and risk assessment. • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals within defined deadlines. • Support Business Development with budgetary and preliminary estimates for new opportunities. • Maintain and update databases for standard rates, productivity norms, and historical cost data. B. Planning & Scheduling • Develop detailed project schedules (baseline and revisions) covering mobilization, execution, shutdown, and demobilization phases. • Prepare manpower loading plans, equipment deployment schedules, and material planning inputs. • Coordinate with Project Managers, site teams, procurement, and operations for effective resource planning. • Prepare and update look-ahead schedules in line with client and site requirements. • Develop and maintain S-curves, resource histograms, and progress charts for management review. • Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays, constraints, and recovery measures. C. Project Control & Reporting • Track daily manpower, equipment utilization, and productivity. • Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to clients and management. • Support cost control, forecasting, and cash flow planning through integration of planning and budget data. • Participate in shutdown readiness reviews, coordination meetings, and project debriefs. • Prepare planning documentation and lessons-learned reports upon project completion. D. Coordination & Support • Coordinate with clients for progress updates, planning reviews, and reporting as per contractual requirements. • Work closely with estimation, execution, and procurement teams to exchange data and improve future tender accuracy. • Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and HSE standards. • Hands-on experience in SABIC / ARAMCO projects, including shutdowns, chemical cleaning, hydro jetting, and mechanical maintenance. • Strong understanding of maintenance, and turnaround scopes. • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel, and estimation / ERP systems. • Familiar with international standards and industrial safety practices in oil & gas. • Middle East experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is an advantage. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. • Good communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during shutdowns. • Familiarity with P&ID, isometric drawings, and plant maintenance processes. • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in planning and estimation within industrial services, maintenance, shutdown, and oil & gas sectors.
