Physics and Math Teacher Full Time - IB & IGCSE - DUBAI

Team Amourion is looking for an IB and IGCSE Math and Physics Tutor for our branch in Dubai. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mathematics \& Physics Tutor to join our academic team in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver personalised, results\-focused tutoring to students studying international curricula, including the IB Diploma Programme, Cambridge and Edexcel AS/A Levels, AP Mathematics and Physics, IGCSE, GCSE, and other major international qualifications. This is a full\-time, in\-person position suited to an educator who has strong subject knowledge, extensive curriculum experience, and a proven ability to help students improve their understanding, confidence, and examination performance. Key Responsibilities * Deliver personalised one\-on\-one and small\-group tutoring in Mathematics and Physics. * Teach students preparing for IBDP, AS/A Levels, IGCSE, GCSE, AP Calculus, AP Physics, and other international qualifications. * Provide expert support for Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel Mathematics and Physics specifications. * Design structured lesson plans, revision programmes, and examination strategies based on each student’s needs. * Explain complex mathematical and scientific concepts using clear, practical, and student\-friendly methods. * Administer timed mock examinations, topic tests, and past papers under examination conditions. * Mark student work accurately and provide detailed feedback, corrections, and targeted follow\-up lessons. * Identify conceptual gaps, calculation errors, and examination\-technique weaknesses. * Track and report student progress, adjusting teaching strategies where required. * Prepare high\-quality worksheets, worked examples, revision notes, and board\-specific question sets. * Support students with problem\-solving, data analysis, mathematical modelling, practical concepts, and extended\-response questions. * Communicate proactively with students and parents or guardians regarding progress, targets, attendance, and upcoming assessments. * Maintain accurate records of lessons, homework, assessments, and student performance. * Stay current with syllabus changes, mark schemes, command terms, examiner reports, grade boundaries, and assessment requirements. * Work collaboratively with the academic and counselling teams to support students’ overall academic goals. Required Qualifications \& Experience * Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Education, or a closely related field. * A master’s degree or recognised teaching qualification is preferred. * Proven, hands\-on experience teaching or tutoring Mathematics and Physics for the IB Diploma Programme. * Strong experience with both Standard Level and Higher Level content is preferred. * Proven experience teaching Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel AS/A Level Mathematics and Physics. * Solid experience preparing students for AP Calculus AB and/or BC. * Experience teaching AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and/or AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism is highly desirable. * Familiarity with IGCSE and GCSE Mathematics and Physics across Cambridge, Edexcel, AQA, or OCR. * Understanding of American curriculum Mathematics and Physics is an advantage. * Demonstrable track record of improving student grades, examination results, and academic confidence. * Previous professional tutoring, coaching, or classroom teaching experience is required. * Strong knowledge of board\-specific examination techniques, mark schemes, and assessment objectives. Desired Skills \& Attributes * Ability to teach Mathematics and Physics across different year groups, curricula, and ability levels. * Experience teaching Further Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics, Pure Mathematics, or advanced Physics topics is a strong advantage. * Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to simplify challenging concepts without reducing academic depth. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with students and parents. * Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style. * Strong focus on improving student confidence, accuracy, and independent thinking. * Highly organised and capable of managing a varied student caseload. * Self\-motivated, reliable, punctual, and committed to achieving measurable student outcomes. * Confident user of online whiteboards, graphing tools, simulations, learning\-management systems, and document\-sharing platforms. * Ability to prepare professional progress reports and provide constructive academic feedback. * Comfortable working with students who require intensive examination preparation or academic recovery support.
