Job description

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Purchaser to manage the procurement of pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and healthcare-related supplies. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the UAE pharmaceutical market, supplier management, inventory planning, and regulatory requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. Key Responsibilities • Procure pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, surgical items, and healthcare products from approved suppliers. • Source new vendors and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements. • Ensure continuous product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels. • Monitor stock movements and coordinate with pharmacies to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. • Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods. • Verify supplier invoices, delivery notes, and purchase documentation. • Coordinate with warehouse and pharmacy teams regarding product receipts and discrepancies. • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, company policies, and quality standards. • Monitor product expiry dates and coordinate timely replenishment. • Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare procurement reports. • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical distributors and manufacturers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy purchasing experience in the UAE. • Experience working with hospitals, clinics, pharmacy chains, or healthcare groups. • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and UAE suppliers. • Familiarity with inventory management and ERP/pharmacy management systems. • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation. • Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and purchasing practices is preferred. • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management. • Excellent planning and inventory forecasting abilities. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Team-oriented with strong coordination skills.
